My Story....
My name is Melissa Trapp. I am from the country of Belize, the only English speaking country of Central America. I was born into an Adventist family but I really began feeling the need of drawing close to God as I came into my teenage years. However it took a while before God really got through to me. When I began my personal walk with God it was difficult for me at times. Thankfully God kept me and when I would slide and sometimes fall, being the loving God He is, He assisted me in getting back up to continue my walk with Him. Towards the last year of my high school days I realized that I would like to work as a missionary.
Why I Want To Be Trained....
I had wanted to work in the medical field and I signed up to study nursing in my mind envisioning that this would be a good field to be a missionary in. However, I did not see or feel that the nursing program catered for the nurse/medical practitioner as I had read about in the Spirit of Prophecy. I ended up switching my program of study to biology and so I currently hold an associate/college degree in biology. A year or so after I graduated from college, I found out about the medical missionary/ evangelism program and I felt called by God that this was what He wanted me to do. However the program is expensive for me and I am praying for God to open the door for me to receive the finances needed for me to be able to do the studies.
What Will I Do With This Training....
In my country I see the need for medical missionaries and I believe that through studying for this I will be able to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the people and thus be a missionary. After I graduate I would like to return home (to Belize) and open my own little wellness center and if God permits one day go on a missionary trip.
Please Prayerfully Consider Supporting Me
